Description
In 2004, a European Directive on Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products (2004/24/EC) was introduced. This new THMRS requires quality and safety of the product to be demonstrated, with efficacy being based on the traditional use of the herbal medicine, provided the claimed pharmacological effects are plausible. Feverfew is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the prevention of migraine headaches. Exclusively based upon long standing use as a traditional remedy. Feverfew, sometimes referred to as the big chamomile, is a member of the Daisy family, and is also known as Tanacetum parthenium or Chrysanthemum parthenium. The plant itself was valued by the Ancient Egyptians and Greeks. Each Natures Aid MigraEeze® film coated tablet contains 100mg of Feverfew herb (Tanacetum parthenium (L.) Schulz Bip.).
